You’ve probably heard that Microsoft will not be supporting Windows 7 after January 2020. That means no more updates or security patches, and no more support if anything goes seriously wrong with your computer.
You might wonder what this has to do with you. Your systems are working fine thank you very much, so why should you spend money to fix it if it ain’t broke?
Well, just because things work now doesn’t mean that they won’t break this year, or next year, or the year after. Other software you use will be updated and the time will come when it won’t work on Windows 7 any more. That will be expensive; you’ll have to replace computers in a hurry and are likely to have disruption to your business while you get it done.
Better to plan for the upgrades now. Have them carried out in a planned and controlled manner with the minimum of panic and disruption and it will be cheaper all round.
