1998 – Archie started in business working from home, and named the business Waverley Lane after an old family address.
2000 – Waverley Lane become Microsoft Partners.
2000 – Waverley Lane become Sophos Anti-Virus Partners.
2002 – First office move, to Stafford Street in Edinburgh’s West End.
2002 – Waverley Lane introduce remote system management tools for fast and effective resolution of client technical problems.
2005 – Second office move, to Castle Street in Central Edinburgh.
2008 – Third office move, just along the road to Hanover Street.
2009 – First roll-out of cloud IT services for clients, using Microsoft BPOS to deliver incredibly fast time-to-value for new client email systems.
2011 – Archie suggested it might be a good idea to change the company name from Waverley Lane to the new name Excellimore, because it makes clear that we aim to be excellent and want to do more of it – but the team preferred the old name…
2013 – We moved again, to Roseburn Place just beside Murrayfield Stadium – and because we were between property leases Archie got his way and we changed our name to Excellimore.
2015 – Excellimore make a big step into more effective marketing with our new online identity – which is a big step outside the comfort zone for us techies…
